EC March 30-April 3

Hi Parents!

I hope you are healthy and happy and that your little ones are able to keep busy while spending time at home. I want to include some games that your guys could play and that I have done with them to help get some energy out. I will do my best to list and explain the games best I can, but feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Act like an animal! -Call out different animals for your little one to act out. Some examples are monkey, chicken, snake, eagle, lion. -You can even have them act out other things like dinosaur, superman, spiderman, saber tooth tiger. The kids get quite creative! – Here is a website that has a sheet for you to follow as well

–This also seems like a good website for tools in raising children, so browse around!

Jump the River -Start with 2 jump ropes, rope or string parallel to one another and about 6 inches apart. The part between the rope is your “river” -Have your child jump from one side of the river to the other. -After they successfully make it to the other side, make the river wider by moving the ropes further apart from one another.

Balloon Games – Kids love the balloons and there are lots of options that are safe for in the house or out. You can have them keep the balloon off the ground by hitting it with their hand, with their foot, with their head, etc. -You can have them practice using right or left by calling out a body part you would like them to use to keep the balloon off the ground. This could be right point finger, left elbow, right knee, nose, etc.

Backyard Scavenger Hunt -Here is a link of some ideas for things to be found in the backyard -You can even have your child help clean up by having them find a toy or object that is out, have them show you they found it, and then put it away. Could be good! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/307230005804135091/?nic_v1=1aOJCr8Vyabgz6X8rqDNAI%2Fho90aaErE%2FPiS4tID2lf5WKwBaZwqsWG5KOXBdafuCR

Again, you can email me if you have any questions about these activities. Good luck, have a great week! Miss Leanna
